Time to go shopping…

March 29th, 2008 by 360-Live Staff in Main

If you’ve been wondering what those mysterious ActionTokens you have in your account are used for, now’s the time you find out.

As of March 27, these ActionTokens can be spent on locked items in InstantAction. In the case of Marble Blast Online, this translates to:

  • 10 new multiplayer maps
  • Many brand new marbles and also the ones from Marble Blast Ultra
  • Or if you want it all, the Bundle Pack

Aside from Marble Blast Online, in other games you can purchase various premium in-game items as well as new levels and such. You also get special site privileges, allowing you to invite a friend who does not own the premium content that you do.

If you’ve already spent your 500 free ActionTokens and you are in need of some more, then fear not – you can get some more. In InstantAction, simply go to ‘Profile’ then click the ‘Buy’ button next to your ActionToken count. You can buy 600 ActionTokens for $4.99, 1800 ActionTokens for $14.99 and 3000 ActionTokens for $24.99.

So what are you waiting for? Go get yourself some new marbles!

Marble Blast Online Multiplayer Tricks - Sprawl

March 16th, 2008 by Hikaru in Main

Remember that trick teaser I posted on YouTube recently? Well, I’ve finally completed the video for everyone to see. The only level I’ve done so far is Sprawl because of the range of tricks you can do in it. Don’t expect another level anytime soon, I need to format my hard drive, install Windows Vista and so on.

In this video you will see the most common and most basic tricks that are useful in a game. The rest (which I did not show) require practice and learning and are mainly for show. But if you’re a pro playing against n00bs, using the tricks for show would be best because people look up to you. I hope when you have watched this video, you will learn and use these tricks and also discover your own. In the video, you will see how I perform my tricks, the way I bounce off walls, the way I edge pop and the way I use every single object to my advantage. I only show around 70 or so tricks but there are well over 100 individual ones you can perform. So, by watching this you should be able to learn some of my tricks and maybe even discover your own tricks to use in multiplayer games.

March 12th, 2008 by Hikaru in Main

As promised earlier, we now present to you a video clip and some screenshots of the XNA build of Marble Blast Ultra running on the Torque X engine. Me, Faraaz and LINKx12 were lucky enough to play Marble Blast XNA. We really hope you enjoy the video and screenshots, so please let us know what you think by saying what you like/dislike about the map, or just a general a comment. Thanks!

Recent server problems…

March 12th, 2008 by 360-Live Staff in News

You may have experienced problems when accessing 360-Live these past two weeks. It was because the domain needed ‘refreshing’. Thankfully, that’s out of the way. However, due to the aforementioned server problems we lost our recent content. The good news is that it was only one article. The bad news is that it was the Marble Blast Online multiplayer maps review.

Because GarageGames likes us more than you (we’re kidding), they’ve sent us an Torque X Demo of MBU. It’s more like an extension to what most of you have seen before - some more footage of that XNA build of MBU running on the Torque X engine.

We’ll be posting some videos and pictures of MBU running on XNA in a few hours – so keep checking back!

Marble Blast Online New Multiplayer Maps Overview

March 11th, 2008 by 360-Live Staff in Main

Note: This map overview has been fully re-written due to our recent loss of content which included the original article. Not only was the article lost, but also comments made by many people including GarageGames staff members!

If you’ve been lucky enough to have taken part in the InstantAction private beta (which is now open to the public), you would’ve by now played the new multiplayer maps that were originally destined for the Xbox 360’s Marble Blast Ultra. Hikaru and I have actively taken part in this beta and we have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This article shares our experiences and may answer some of your unanswered questions regarding Marble Blast Online. Our experiences were from our 1 on 1 battles which took place in all new multiplayer maps.

Marble Blast Online!

February 23rd, 2008 by 360-Live Staff in Main

It has been a while since 360-Live has been updated, last time it was about MarbleBlastUltra.com which still hasn’t changed. You might have already found out from 360-Live’s Forums or somewhere else about the latest in GarageGames’ work - Marble Blast Online. Currently, you can only sign up for beta testing, so there’s still a bit of waiting yet. Marble Blast Online is basically the PC’s version of MBU, except it will have the 11 new multiplayer maps that us 360 gamers did not receive!

Sign-up here: InstantAction.com

360-Live was all about getting those new maps we were all waiting for, looks like we’re getting them albeit on a different platform.
